That should be a great game. Holy Cross has been playing very well.

I'm going with Holy Cross winning 6-3. The Blue Colonels are overrated.

HC may pull one off tonight but I disagree 100% that CCH is overrated.

I think the red colonels are definitely overrated in the poll.

When I look at this poll, which looks pretty accurate to me, I can't help but think how unbalanced the districts are here in the 9th. If you remove Brossart and Campbell from the poll since they are actually 10th region teams, 3 of the top 8 teams are from the 35th district (CCH, Beechwood, HC) , 3 of the top 8 are from the 33rd (Ryle, Boone, Conner), yet only one representative each from both the 34th (Dixie) and 36th (NCC). The 34th district teams in total do not own a single win to date over any 33rd district team and only one win (Dixie over CCH) over a 35th district team. The only wins by a 36th district team over either a 33rd or 35th district team come from NCC. There's simply no way you can look at these districts and think they are anything but unequitable. If this was a one year fluke, it would be one thing, but it's not.

I've never heard of a coach pulling it's starters just because they had 2 games. Were they tired or something?

 

I know they will change a position or two, but to sit almost the entire starting lineup seems odd.

This topic seems to come up quite often. If districts only represented boys athletics and specifically baseball only, then I guess we could debate it...unfortunately there are a number other parts to the equation.
