Good luck. You'll have to let us know how it goes.

Now I'm back. It was freezing. I'll start w/ that. It was a ton of fun too. You make it as hard as you want to. The drop on the Walk the Plank was like 25-30 ft. I heard w/ water temps of 45 degrees. At that height, you are submerged about 10 ft in the water once you hit. That one stung a little. Other than that it wasn't too insane, of course, we had a huge group so we moved as slow as our slowest member. The issue w/ the cold water temps and a high air temp of 50 during our runs were cramping, so we had quite a few (and really a ton of other people) cramp up pretty bad. However, everyone finished.

Warrior Dash KY just moved from E-town to Lebanon. The are offering full refunds through the 20th. It's because the idiots at Warrior Dash just now discovered Etown was dry. They SHOULD have cancelled the event and fully refunded everyone. Notifying everyone by e-mail is a bad way to conduct the business. Many people will not know it has moved until it actually takes place.

How would they notify you if it were canceled?

Still by e-mail. But, people won't be out of money becuase the idiots conducting the race lacked the foresight to secure a liquor license.

Well I didn't get to my goal of sub 20:00 but not too disappointed. It was cold and windy and I don't do well in the cold with running. So that combined with fact I haven't run any further then 800 meters at a time in the last 3 month I guess I did pretty well. I finished at 22:19 and ended up 16th overall, 3rd in my age group. I think what hurt me the most by not running prior was not really having a feel for the pace I needed. I came out way too fast and pushed too hard for the first mile.

I played indoor soccer yesterday for the first time ever. That is a different kind of fitness level. I was dying.

Getting ready to start month 2 of Insanity again  (this will be my 5th rotation of Insanity)...Not looking forward to this.

5 rotations? I almost puked in my mouth. Have fun w that.

This will be my 5th rotation in a span of two years. I try to take breaks or just keep changing my routine though. I've done P90X once. I have a love / hate relationship with Insanity.

Today at Crossfit we did the Games Open WOD 12.3

AMRAP in 12 mins of:

15 Box Jumps (24"/20")

12 Push Presses (115/75)

9 Toes To Bars

Got 5 complete rounds and the 15 box jumps into the 5th round

My goal was to break 2:00 at the Derby Mini. Went out and ran a 1:51:00. Was very pleased. If my watch didn't crap out at the 8 mile mark I'm sure I would have broke 1:50.

Nice job. Had a few friends run this but not sure how they ended up doing.
