The Lady 'Stangs of Bishop Brossart jumped on the Scott Eagles for 4 runs in the 4th inning and were never stopped in the 5-3 win.

The score was 0-0 in the fourth when leadoff batter Natalie Woeste battled on a 2-2 count and eventually singled to left center. Lindsay Griffith followed that with a bomb to left for her first home run of the season to make it 2-0. Moments later, after a single by Molly Williams, Maria "Mama" Greis crushed another bomb to left for her first home run of the year and it was 4-0. They added another run in the 6th when Griffith hit a line shot double and eventually scored on a single to center by Williams.

Miller allowed only one earned run in the 7-2 win.:taz:

You see that alot with teams and the people who are keeping the books. Some do it by the book, some do it by there own book.

I don't put a lot of stock in stats, even the ones in the papers, because it's pretty obvious what coaches "inflate" their stats to make their team look better and thus makes them look better. I think the coaches who keep factual stats certainly know the ones who "make up" their own stats.

Stats in the state of Ky are always up for interpretation. Nothing against the girls playing on teams in some of the regions in the mountains, but look at the scores of some of these games. High teens or twenties and the opponents score at most one or two runs. Pitching on some of these teams is down right almost slow pitch, hence, the big time stats. Take those same girls with the big stats, and put them on a really good team in western and central Ky and those sames girls stats will be more realistic facing pitchers who throw in the mid to up 50's instead of upper 40's. Put girls from western and central Ky on those mountain teams, and they would bat .625 and have 75 stolen bases.

You see that alot with teams and the people who are keeping the books. Some do it by the book, some do it by there own book.

This is an issue that will always be seen around baseball and softball. You see kids with unreal stats then realize on one team a ground ball through the short stops legs ends up a hit while somebody else rules it correctly as an error. Over the years you see a definite pattern with certain schools and coaches that have inflated stats..........Unfortunately this just hurts kids whose coaches/score keepers do things correctly.

So what is the correct score? 5 - 3 or 7 - 2?
