New Head Coach @ Tennessee: Cuonzo Martin

Featured Replies

Here are some facts- Bruce Pearl was getting 1.9 mil per when he got fired according to ESPN. Pastner just signed an extension to pay him 1.7 mil per according to Memphis' website. Heck, Pat Summit gets 1.4 per according to ESPN. I really think that Tennessee could pony up if they wanted to. They chose not to.

I'll eat crow all day if somebody can show me the definitive argument that Tennessee can't outspend Memphis any time they want to.

If the "can" outspend Memphis in hoops is irrelevant. They won't. Story ends there...

No way.....will take many years and another coach to show improvement at Tennessee....and I for one love it!!!!

I think Tennessee can pay more than Memphis- guess they did not open up the check book here.

BTW, Mike Hamilton should get axed- seriously; how can he survive Lane Kiffin and Bruce Pearl!!! Then this hire for Pearl's replacement? I am not sure what he has done to keep the AD gig.

I guess he couldn't survive it.
