Scott Eagles to start a youth football program.

Featured Replies

This is not a Scott program. I am sure the NKYFL put up the funds to start this team and not Scott. Scott will, i'm sure get some of the kids from this team and thats great, the kids is what its all about anyway but its like saying the Bengal Tigers is a Holmes program and it is not. Even though Holmes lets them use there facility and they will get the majority of the kids from that team they still are part of the NKYFL program. BT has kids playing that could play at Beechwood, Highlands, Scott.. The way the territory is structured the area teams are considered feeder programs because the majority of the kids in that program do go to that high school. You take the middle school programs like Woodland, Tichenor, Summit etc.. Those programs are designed to be a direct feeder for the high schools and the high school is completley involved in that program.

One thing that COULD take place...........................If you are taking some of the Raiders territory maybe all those Raiders kids will not be funnelled towards Dixie. With the open enrollment in Kenton County kids tend to want to go play with their buddies which in this case is going to Dixie. IF Scott can get some people into coaching within the organization that could promote Scott then maybe you could see some positive happenings down the road. Bottom line is that Scott, with the open enrollment within the County, needs to make itself a viable football choice. Even if only a few kids each year "choose" to go outside of the territory that they live in, within Kenton County, that all adds up.

Like open enrollment ever really benefted Dixie!

I say bring back the Taylor Mill Mustangs.

I heard from the top guy they will be called the Taylor Mill Eagles..

Like open enrollment ever really benefted Dixie!

I have no clue if it does or not. I would say even if two kids each year go to a different school then what their address states they should go then it is either benefitting someone or taking away frm someone.
