Robbie Stenzel was given the game ball for passing Wes Burtner as the all time leading scorer for GRC. Way to go Robbie!!!!

 

Play of the game was Bopper Stenzel...a back over the head pass on a fast break to I think Zollo for the dunk.

 

Cards came out flat and with a lack of intensity. Second half they really picked things up and played more like I know they can.

 

Lafayette started 2 Freshman a Sophomore aJunior and a Senior. They will be good in the next couple of years.

Many Congratulations to Robbie Stenzel in becoming GRC's all-time leading scorer. I think he was shocked when they recognized him after he hit the 3 to take the honor.

 

2nd half was MUCH better for GRC than the first.

Don't know if many remember Wes Burtner, but he graduated in 1998. Went on to Belmount University, where now he hold the leading scorer, rebounder and assist honors. He is currently the Assistant AD at Belmount.

Congrat's to Robbie! That is quite a feat at GRC. They have had some very good talent come from Winchester.

GRC is in the top five for most wins in the state, didn't realize this until tonight! Robbie very deserving of his honors tonight, very unselfish player, fine young man! I know his dad was proud when he was tossed the game ball by his son, touching moment!

Nice bounce back win.

Congrats to Robbie! It seems like he's been playing Varsity for about ten years now for GRC. What grade was he in when he first started seeing Varsity minutes?

He was in the 8th grade on the 2007 10th region championship team. He actually hit the two biggest free throws of the season against Scott High in the last 10 seconds of the Region Semis. Kid has ice water in his veins.

Congrats to the Cards on the win. They looked like two different teams in the first and second halves. I liked the second half team, not so much the first. CONGRATS to Robbie on becoming the all time leading scorer at Clark. It is going to be a sad night next week when we say goodbye to this group of seniors. Also the JV won. They have but together a nice season, not sure of their record but have lost only a very few games. The cupboard won't be completely bare next year. Also they had a half time recognition of for the 25th anniversary of the 1986 10th region championship team. A great night to be a Cardinal fan.

No. 3 Clark County erased a three-point deficit with a 22-8 third-quarter advantage en route to an 80-61 defeat of visiting Lafayette. Robbie Stenzel scored 19 points and Vinny Zollo, a WKU signee, had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Cardinals. Jackson Davis had 27 points and 13 rebounds for the Generals.

 

Stenzel passed the 1,900-point mark to become Clark County's all-time leading scorer.

Also honored was Darius Skinner for recieving the "Iron Man" award by the US Army on the football field. Congrats Darius!!!!
