Please say a prayer for me tomorrow

Featured Replies

My Father-In-Law had this done last month and he did great! Wasn't bad at all for him. He is 84. I'll pray for comfort for you as you wait to do this. I also mentioned in my prayer for a quick healing. Let us know when you can.

Hey thanks everyone for the prayers, thoughts and kind words.

I went into surgery yesterday about 12:30 and from what my parents told me I was in the O.R. for about an hour. I woke up in recovery in bad pain so they gave me some more pain medication but I kept falling back asleep so they had to stop the IV meds and let me wake up fully. I got moved back into my room about 3:00 where I stayed until being released at 5:00. Yesterday was rough trying to move around but today is even worse. Just moving my right leg (the hernia was on my right side) is a chore. I can't sit or stand straight up but I'm sure that will change in a few days. Good thing I have a good family, girlfriend, and friends to help me through this. Not being able to do much for myself stinks but it's part of life.

Speaking of people helping me through, I can't say enough about the job that the staff at Christ Hospital did. They were extremely courteous and were with me every step of the way (literally every step-including to the restroom post-op) and were more than willing to do whatever I needed.

The next few days will be rough but with all the help I am getting and the support of the BGP family, I am sure I'll make it through without any problems.

Thanks.

Good to hear everything seems to have went well. Sounds like you'll be back on your feet and active in no time!

Best of luck to you 19. I had it years ago and did fine. You will be okay too. Hang tough.

I'm not surprised. They're my hospital of choice as well. Just curious: which wing are you on? Or was this all outpatient?

Hope you start feeling better over the next few days.
