How good is Monroe? Have heard good things about him.

I think I remember him playing in a tournament at Williamstown a few years back (Little Demons Classic). He was a good shooter then and a really nice ball player now. Shoots from anywhere on the floor but also takes it to the hoop when the opportunity presents itself. The type of player that any team would be glad to have. Kudos to Mr. Monroe.

Seen where the Blackburn kid did not score at all and Kinmon only had 6, from looking at box scores one of these two players has got to get 15 to 20 for Grant to beat a good team.

Over the course of the season Grant has had 6 players score 15-20 points in a game. Blackburn, Carr, Kinmon, Cummins, Hurley & Hunt and have had several other kids score in double digits consistantly each game. So for you to say it has to come from "one of these two players" is a little naive. Grant has 10 or so players that could do this at any time which makes them very hard to defend. Some kids get hot and some get cold on any given game, I'll take my chances that one or two of the 10 gets hot in a game no matter who it is.

Someone told me that Cummins is no longer with the team, is this so? Also, isn't Carr a freshman? He's pretty solid if that's the case. As for Kinmon, Hurley, and Hunt, these are some talented players who haven't reached full potential and it should really be interesting for the future.

It is true that Cummins is no longer with the team and also that Carr is a freshman and I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) he has the highest shooting % on the team. There are also several kids (not mentioned before) that are significant contributors! Such as Anglin, Shipp, Thomas, Robbins and others that give this team a very deep bench and a bright future. Should be fun to watch them as they come together as a team.

Correction: Carr has the highest 3 point shooting percentage on the team. My mistake.

GCHOOPS3 - I remember a game where #22 was playing some exceptional defense - who is this and what grade is he in?

I'm pretty sure you are refering to Jonathon Robbins (Junior). I don't know his number but when you said exceptional defense I assume that's who you are talking about.

#22 would be Robbins, he is a Junior.

I agree with you, but it seems when Kinmon has a good game scoring double digits, they win. Not always, but they do win. When he scores low, it seems they lose. Just from what I have saw.

The reasons for the losses is panic in the last few minutes of a ballgame. This team has been a position to win several more games than their record indicates. Western Hills, Lexington Christian, East Jessamine, Campbell Co. and Walton Verona (1st meeting) All of which they led late in the game then made some bad decisions. This is a very young team with Carr (Fr.) Anglin (So.) Shipp (So.) and Thomas (So.) all seeing significant minutes this year. Future looks good for Coach Hicks.

How many Juniors do they have on the team?

I agree 100%. My point was that they have several kids that have the ability to score 15-20 points which makes them a very dangerous team to face on any given night. Or they could easily have 5-6 kids score 10-15 points which is equally as dangerous. They're all good kids that work very hard and will only get better.

Kinmon, Hunt, Robbins, and Mario Coleman who missed most of the year with a knee injury.

And Hurley

And Hurley

My mistake.
