This was probally NCC's worst shooting game of the year. They shot it at just over 28% from the field

No not at all, remember this team won this tournament last year and is built with seniors. Bartels really struggled with her shot tonight, so she had an off night and will rebound Friday. The Breds found a way to win on a night they struggled from the field.

We wish them another Tournament title. good Luck!

St. Pat had chances to take the lead in the 4th quarter, but could not convert.

First I want to congratulate NCC on the win I hope they repeat as champions.

 

I am sure the shooting was not as good as it has been but the reason may have been the excellent defense the Lady Saints played. Letting NCC jump out to a huge lead makes it very hard to keep yourself in the game, however the Lady Saints managed to cut the lead to 3 points by the end of the half, and climb back into the game.

NCC also played excellent defense resulting in our 27 turnovers.

I felt the game was officiated fairly evenly but the block/charge call where the official under the goal called a block and the lady official was calling a charge was a big turning point, seemed to take the air out of St Patrick.

 

 

I feel St Pat made an excellent showing on a big stage against a very talented NCC team.

Did both officials come out with calls? Or are you saying you think one of the officials was GOING TO call a certain way?

 

If they both came out how did they resolve it? There is a provision in the rulebook that says you can have both on a play.

Saint Patrick is a much better team then that 10-10 record says. They have played a tough schedule. Lady Saints got the lead down to 1 and 2 but just were never able to take the lead. I think if they would have taken the lead they would have been able to pull it out. Saint Patrick with 27 turnovers and outrebounds NCC by at least 10+. Good showing from Saint Patrick!

Actually they both made different calls. And they stared at each other quickly and the lady official who made the charge call indication gave way to the official under the basket who made the block signal. I dont have a problem with the call except they didnt even discuss the call to decide who saw what. The guy under the goal was closer but he was shielded from seeing the offensive player use her arm to push off. The lady out front did see that. They should have just discussed the call is all I am saying to make sure they had it correct. That is not why St Pat lost but it did have an effect on the team you could see it in their faces.
