You can keep saying it all you want; it still doesn't change the fact that if Carson sucks, then..... the o-line sucks, the WR's suck, the RB's suck, the special teams suck, and the defense sucks!

It makes a whole lot of sense doesn't it!

I am a guy who has backed Palmer, and I don't even get some of this stuff you have said either. I agree that some of Palmer's struggles definitely was because of the line, or receivers not running the right routes. Palmer did struggle some on his own last year too though. I think a lot of it does have to do with the offensive coordinator and his predictable play calling. I don't get why you seem to think it is only the fans for why he wants gone. I mean in any city your at, fans are going to be tough on QB's if the team struggles and he knows that. I think the main reason why he wanted to be gone was not the fans at all. It is mainly because he did not like the direction this team was going in, and how it wasn't going to make any changes. I think its obvious that they were not going to make any changes, and he knew that. It was not until they found out that he would want out, that they decided to try to make changes to try to make him happy.

Sure it's possible that it is in response to Carson, but no one knows: it is all speculation, including mine.

But what doesn't make sense is all indications are they are going back to running the football and playing defense; how does that make Carson happy? Brown said no specifics were given in the meeing with Palmer about his displeasure; of course he could be lying, but Palmer blaming others would not be keeping in line with his personality.

Marvin also stated he wanted to go back and look at the season; he finished that right before they left for the Senior Bowl.

People are also underestimating the methodical way Mike Brown does business; he is loyal to a fault and I'm sure it took some convincing for this move to happen; rarely does he act rashly; the fans always want immediate "big splash" type moves and that is not Mike Brown's style.

A very good point about the move is Benson commented how he thinks it is a good move; if it helps keep him here, that is a huge step in the offense being good again.

It just doesn't go with making Carson happy if they are going to be a run-first offense, although Carson is the type of player that will be happy if they are winning!

Yeah your right most of it is speculation. However I don't think any of the things that happened are coincidence. All these things happened that week, and happened in this order. Palmer asked for a trade on Monday, that is a fact. On Tuesday Marvin speaks to the medica, and really goes out of his way to talk Palmer up, and even talks about how he has messed up, and needs to make sure that he puts Palmer in the best position and does not steal his thunder. That is another fact that happened. On that Thursday the Bengals make what by all indications looked to be there first attempt at looking elsewhere for a new OC in Childress. Then on Sunday, the news becomes public about Palmer wanting to be traded. Which is another fact. Now guess what Bratkowski is fired. Yes this all technically is all speculation still, however the things I said are a fact. So that is a pretty strange coincidence, that the same week Palmer asks to get traded, the Bengals decide that they want to change things. I think that shows that they most likely were going to keep Bratkowski this year, and the Palmer thing kind of forced their hand. They already knew they had a runningback who didn't want to play for Brat, and now a QB who wouldn't say it to the public, but most likely didn't want to either.

Palmer tells Brat he was not part of the decision on bengals.com.

I heard/read that CP called Brat and said that Brat wasn't the reason CP asked for a trade. Is that what you're saying?
