Mason Co announcers could not believe the basket was called good. They stated that was a NBA call.

It was in the 4th quarter with 3:30 to go in game. Score before the basket and foul was 41-37 Rowan Co.

Had Setty picked up the ball yet before being fouled?

I wasn't at the game, just relaying what the Mason Co announcers were saying. They said Setty was fouled but the basket should not have counted. Maybe Mcpapa or someone at the game can give more insight.

Rowan County is getting better and better. The 16th region tourney should be really good. I would probably have Ashland as the favorite, but Rowan, WC and Elliott look like strong contenders to me. Who knows maybe by the end of the year another team or two could sneak up into the conversation.

Personally, I think Coach O'Hearn is a quality, quality coach. You can only have so many D1 players before it dries up. O'hearn is a proven coach, dedicated, and has won a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Not taking anything away from MC, but the State Championship was won with a very quality team. Lots of talent and a highly recruited D1 player.

Was'nt even close,Should not have counted..

Entertaining, physical game at the Fieldhouse tonight. Rowan was 9-20 from behind the arc, with Egan going 6-7.

Nobody sick, no sprained ankles, no bad officials calls. Rowan wins and deserves all the credit.:thumb:

Captain obvious, thats usually how championships are won. Does Coach K win titles without quality talent? Mason has won three straight regionals. Maintaining enough talent to win four straight is extremely difficult.
