Even if it weren't, I would think it would be in the best interests of the country to have a representative that would be able to dedicate their complete attention to the issues facing the country. Also, she'd easily get re-elected if she stepped down, then ran again next election IMO.

January 21, 201115 yr ^No clue. I would think stepping down would be the best course of action, but I'm not familiar with what her rehab will involve or how long it will take.

I know she is going to Houston for rehab. Not sure how long it will take. I can't imagine a bullet through the brain is quick rehab.

I will be honest, I am tired of hearing about the whole shooting so I have not kept up with her recovery other than hearing in passing that it appears to be going well. Any word on how long she will be out? If someone is suddenly physically or mentally unable to perform their job as an elected official, I would assume there are rules in place to appoint someone to their post.

I did hear on the radio this morning that she would be in Rehab for around 3 months.
