Dixie should recieve credit for their play on the court, but the nay sayers are going to be out there due to Brandon's and Zeke's age questions. I have personally watched and coached against Brandon in AAU basketball for the past 5 years and no one can question is ability. There is no reason to continue with the discussion because nothing is going to happen because of it. Let it go and enjoy the Red Colonels season.

I would agree Qryche. Regardless of Hatton's age(15) he is an excellent basketball player. I believe he has proven that time and time again. The Colonels have an excellent team and should be a huge contender in the regionals, if their success continues.

Clyde I dont know if I would use the word "haters" as to I am not sure of the exact meaning. Definately not a word from my genre. However I have seen some negative comments in previous posts. I dont think though that many kids escape some sort of scrutiny about their talent on any forum. I think that just comes with the territory. There are several talented young men playing basketball in Northern Kentucky, that I am sure get some negative comments made about them. This is a forum where everyone expresses their opinions about team/individuals talents. I think for the most part people recognize the positive aspects of all the players/teams.

 

3FromDeep, I'm sure Hatton appreciates any person trying to take up for him, but I dont think that is necessary on the BGP. Anyone who has any inclination of what basketball is about knows Hatton has talent. As for many other players in NKY. The region is wide open and going to make for some exciting basketball for the next two months.

I enjoy watching him play, doesn't loose his cool on they court when in a tough game, he knows he will get his shots sooner or later and to just be patience.

 

Concerning this game, I am surprised this game was this close.

B Hatt is a tremendous talent and I have no idea why anyone would say one negative word about this kid. He is a great bb player, great teammate and a great kid. People like to bring up the fact that he was heldback, but they fail to mention that the kid practically skipped middle school ball and has played against older kids pretty much his whole life. It's not like he was heldback to dominate his own age group. You can either ball or not, this kid can ball with the best of them.
