Walton Verona/ Notre Dame Academy Predictions Dec 23

Featured Replies

I don't recall these two teams meeting other than in a scrimmage. Should be an interesting match up. Thoughts?

Game is at WV.

Based on the early season results I think this will be a long night for the WV girls.

ND is deep with lots of guards and good size inside.

When is the last time these two met?

I doubt they have ever played during the regular season. 15 Minutes appart it should become a regular game.

Since they are playing at Walton the 8th region refs always allow a more physical game. I am for obvious reason in the NDA camp on this game but I look for a good battle. Walton has a nice gym to take pictures so I might be the real winner in this one.

I'll admit to being out of the loop on this one, as don't have much perspective to draw upon. I was unaware that the 8th region is known for being a "more physical" region? Is this a popularly held notion by most observers? Just curious.

I watched ND and Walton play in the 9th region semi's in 1992 (ND won by 1 or 2 points). I also watched a ND/Walton overtime game at Walton that next year. They have played, but probably not since Walton move to the 8th region.

Compare to how the 9th region is called - Yes! The 8th region will let you play a lot more.

I like the Pandas to win handily. Walton is still trying to find it's identity this year.

Could get ugly for the Ladycats. Again, if the guards continue to play at the level they are playing, it will be a long night. By now they should have their "identity" since they lost no one from last year's team.

I agree but I think for Walton it's a little more like if you play guards rather than if the guards play.

These posts sound like a "trap" for the Pandas. Walton has a ton of talent returning from last year and I have watched Taubee play for Conner since middle school. She can flat out shoot!!

Not sure about the trap, Walton is off to a slow start for sure. NDA has a large gap in games from now until this game. 11 days or so unless the schedule is wrong. What might an 11 day break in the schedule do to a team? I am still picking the Pandas.

No matter who wins this game, I'm sure the pictures will be great!!
