BGP Fantasy Football League ~ Playoffs – Round One

Featured Replies

I'm shocked I made the playoffs. I should have lost 5 games  but I'll take it.

Time to do work! :ylsuper:

Take a look at my roster and you'll ask yourself the same question I have: "How is that team 11-3?" Id be shocked if I make it out of the first round.

My BGP Fantasy Journey:

Year 1: Toilet Bowl Champion (My final weeks roster only had 1 player that was on my first weeks roster, what a crazy season)

Year 2: #1 Seed in the playoffs and one of the most dominating regular seasons in league history only to bow out in the first round of the playoffs

Year 3: No Man's Land (without computer error with my schedule I would have won my division and had a great spot in the playoffs but I'm not complaining :p)

This has been a crazy ride  Thanks again for everything you do Godot. :thumb: You'd be hard pressed to find a league more competitive year in and year out than this one.

So much for that MFL #1 preseason ranking. What I thought was a very solid draft didn't pan out. Greene in the 2nd round, P. Thomas in the 3rd, Smith in the 4th, Cutler in the 5th all were terrible. It's pretty interesting if you check the draft portion of MFL, it gives a rundown of how they were projected and how they finished.

1. Atwood Fighting' Amish

Coach Joe Stark had an impressive showing in the recent 2010 BGP Fantasy Football League draft. Their Atwood Fighting' Amish franchise came away feeling exuberant about their top grade in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.

Atwood Fighting' Amish made their best pick of the draft in round 4, selecting Steve Smith with the 56th pick of the draft, as compared to the 42nd spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "He has all the makings of a great one," Atwood Fighting' Amish coach Joe Stark said.

Atwood Fighting' Amish made their worst pick of the draft in round 14, selecting Mewelde Moore with the 216th pick of the draft, as compared to the 256th spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "I know some are thinking that he will be this year's Ryan Leaf," Atwood Fighting' Amish coach Joe Stark said.

Starting in week 8, Atwood Fighting' Amish won't be able to submit a full lineup, due to having 1 defensive team on bye.

Time will tell if coach Joe Stark can take their top-ranked draft all the way to the league championship.

Toilet Bowl teams are out of the league?
The Toilet Bowl Winner will return to the league next season. The other seven members will have to sit out at least one year before they can return.

I may have the worst team to make the playoffs. As far as wins and losses go, it's the best team I've had. Tough to figure out.

That said, I recognize that I have no chance to beat the SubVets and just hope I dont set a playoff record for futility.

I wouldn't say that yet. My team is struggling right now. Yes I've won the two games we have played this year, but it's HARD to beat a team three times in one year. You have a good chance.

Mustard Seeds was the one team I didn't want to play in the 1st round...

I didn't care who I played...just glad to be here.

I'd say we'll have a pretty good guess as to whether I have anything for you after the Thursday night game. I've got two of my big guns going and they'll need to produce big games if I'm to have a chance.

Can't believe I missed the playoffs with this team. Thought it would be bad picking last but really thought I had a good team. Glad I at least took an 11-2 team to the woodshed the last week of the regular season.

Good luck to you guys still in it. Once again Godot thank you for all the hard work you put in to run a top notch league!
