It was the title game because Trinity won. If X had pulled it off it wouldn't be the title game as I believe Ryle is playing every bit as good as X right now.

Regarding the statement that T/X was the 'real' state championship game, I'm not convinced that St X was better than Ryle. The fact that Ryle has this game at home makes it interesting.

Ryle can beat Trinity if they utilize the same gameplan they did vs Highlands and keep James Quick off the field offensively. Ball control, establish the line of scrimmage and let Elliot play like he does and they have a shot. Hempel will have to play better than he did vs Highlands and that is asking a ton.
