I think the obvious question yet to be answered, at least publicly, is how did the brawl last week involving the kids at Central impact eligibility for thiw game? If Central is at full staff, and I think they will be, then I believe they will advance. Honestly, I have not seen North Oldham play this year, so I don't know what they are like. I have seen Central play and they are big, and fast. If North can match up well, then it should be a good game.

The unofficial word this evening is that all has been looked at by the "authorities" regarding the brawl and the results will not impact Central's ability to bring everyone for the game Friday night. Hope that's the case.

Everyone around North has echoed the same opinion in that win , lose or draw Friday we want our best on the field to compete with the best that Central has to offer. All chips in, no excuses.

Both coaches won the Coach of the Year award in their respective district (Congrats to Billy Martin & Ty Scroggins, two quality coaches)

 

North led by the running back trio of Zach Evans (981 yards - new school single season record), Austin and Cody Crawley (810 yards rushing and 802 yards rushing, respectively). Evans would become the first runner in North's short history to go over 1,000 with just 19 yards tonight. With Zach Price's 829 yards rushing from last year the previous record, it is very possible that - when all is said and done - that the above trio could finish as the #1, #2, and #3 top single-season runners in North history as the two Crawleys each need less than 30 yards to pass Price.

 

Cody Crawley has tied the North single season mark with 13 TDs.

 

Central is led by District 3 player of the Year Anthony Wales, who has a stunning 2,458 yards rushing and 29 TDs with an eye-popping 10.7 yards per carry...
