Boone has scrimmaged Colerain and Bishop Brossart.

Does anyone have an update on those scrimmages? I heard Boone won both, however, didn't get any details....

How has Brown and Montgomery looked? How is the guard play?

Anyone knocking down threes consistantly in the scrimmages?

Saw a little bit of the scrimmage, they were up and down, need to get focused on running the court and playing defense. The guards/players can shoot when/if needed, several of the boys can knock down 3's from what I saw: Montgomery, Downs, Stanley, McQueary, Pitts, maybe more, I didn't see all of the scrimmages. They all have nice jumpers around the basket as well. And, as much as Travis and Trevan rebound, they should have some nice put backs when there are misses. I think they'll hammer it down low when it makes sense and pull it out to the guards when needed. First game Tuesday against Ryle, double header with girs varsity playing first and then boys, should be a great game, those two teams were very closely matched last season, boys and girls.

Its a boys triple header Tuesday.

Its a boys triple header Tuesday.

I heard it was girls then boys, is that later this season?

Boone has great players on this years team. Guard play and coaching will be the problem. The coach at Boone never seems to get the job done. I feel like Coach Fookes can make an average team with little talent into a regional championship team. Mcquery on the other hand is given some of the best players year in and year out and always manages to fall short of what they should be accomplishing. If Boone tries to run the coaches plays every possession instead of just playing the game they will be beat and beat often. If he lets the boys play to there ability they will win the regional championship. This team is good. This years group of seniors won the freshman title and the past two Jv titles.

Was Boone expected to advance past Holmes out of the region 2 years ago? Seems as though they went as far as they could, had 3 shots to win at the end of the regional final and Holmes won state.

Was Boone in the top 4 in the region last year? Didn't they lose in the semifinals of the region last year? Seems like the Tubby Smith complex, "just let them play to their ability" instead of running a coach called play? Get serious...
