Chaffin hit his hip early in the game, and only carried it a few times. We just come out real flat, and didn't line up right on defense. There was one play we got lucky, because we got a timeout called before they could snap the ball, because the defense was confused and left a wide out wide open, if we didn't get the timeout it was a td. Once the coaches got them lineup right they really played well on defense. Paintsville didn't do much of anything in the second half. We just dug ourselves to big of a hole in the first half.

I was screaming for us to snap the ball! How can a corner completely leave a Wide Out? I could understand him not seeing him out there but he lined up to cover him and then just left...I agree with you Paintsville set the cruise control a little too soon.

Actually I don't believe Paintsville set the cruise control, they basically did the same things on offense the second half as they did in the first. I felt more than anything that Paintsville got tired in the 4th quarter, and it would have been tough for them if the game went into ot. The kicking game was huge in theis game, because not only was the block at the end big, but Paintsville did an excellent on punts and kickoffs, they got some really nice and crazy bounces, that really changed the field of play.

I don't think they got tired, I think they played conservatively. A bad play call to begin the second half set up LC to score quickly, and on Paintsville's next possession playing conservatively doesn't get first downs as LC's D stood tall. Paintsville at this point had 0 momentum and it showed on defense. Regardless of the circumstances this season, I don't think being tired was an issue. No offense or nothing to you LC99, because you know I have the utmost respect for your opinions and views on any kind of football.

IMO, the somerset, lynn camp game could have went the other way but the campers missed 2 or 3 extra points that would have given them an edge towards the end of the game.. it seems that this kicking problem was a real achilles hill with the wildcats this year

Lynn Camp lost two games by one point, and at the end of both games had a field goal blocked.

It looked like the last extra point for Lynn Camp in the Paintsville game was just kicked too high on the ball. There's not much margin for error for a straight on kicker that uses a toe strap.

Just like a golfer that tops the ball, it looked like the kicker didn't keep his head down. It's VERY easy to do. You gotta feel for the young man. That's a LOT of pressure in that situation.

There's a lot of teams outside the soccer playing areas that have a rough time developing place kickers from scratch.

The kicker had no chance. Paintsville broke the line, and the ball barely left his foot before it was blocked.
