Well, actually, my point was that they shouldn't be on any "50 worst music artists of all-time" list, but I'm guessing you already assumed that. Feel free to replace them with Wham or America or Dan Fogelberg or about 1000 other choices.

I have occasionally overheard some of the garbage emanating from my son's bedroom and it caused my ears to bleed. I don't stray too far from 80's music. Pretty hard to improve on it.
