I agree, but I've been picking the wrong teams all year. I picked Manual this week so Eastern will probably win.

I don't understand Seneca and PRP still being in the top 10 given their 5-5 records. There are 3 or 4 other 6As with better records and playing better football going into the tournament. Those two will be out after Friday.

I understand. The problem with that is "strength of schedule" is usually subjective, because the emphasis is more on past teams than present. 4/5 PRP wins and 4/5 Seneca wins were against teams with loosing records, and the other W for each was against another 5-5 team. Oh well, next week's ranking will tell a different story. At least 2 of the top 10 will drop out due to first round match ups. Can't wait for Friday Night(s)!

Records have very little to do with rankings. PRP has a one touchdown loss to Christian County (top five BGP 5A) and a one touchdown loss to X (#2 6A). Seneca has close losses to Eastern and Ballard, both ranked in 6A.

Well, it's tournament time now and teams advance by winning, not loosing closely. Time will reveal the best teams.

Although both #10 PRP and #9 Seneca are both very likely to lose in the first round, it is mainly because they have the misfortune of being matched up with St. X. and Trinity. The other teams (I'm not sure whom you are talking about) whom you consider better may well win and advance further in the playoff strictly because they play much weaker teams. This does not mean they are better teams. If they had to face Seneca and/or PRP in the 1st round, they would most likely get thumped.

For that matter Seneca and PRP (both #4 in their district) would have a fighting chance of making it to the state final game if they were in the top half of the bracket.

The only team in the top half of the bracket ranked higher than Seneca and/or PRP is Male... 9 of the top ten ranked teams are from the lower half of the bracket!

Fun to spar off on BGP, but in the end it's all speculation. We can't all live in L'ville or NKY and play every team, so we play the cards we're dealt. But I firmly believe the two teams from the top bracket that advance to the semis will prove themselves worthy of being ranked a top 6A KY football team.

How can two teams not currently ranked, who advance through a bracket where the competition is mediocre at best, present any feasible case that they are worthy of being ranked as a top 6A team. Just to satisfy our curiosity, please let us know which two upper bracket teams not currently ranked in the Top 10 you believe should replace Seneca and PRP. With this knowledge, we can better focus our discussion.
