Any chance Boyd gets enough breaks at home to compete?

Greenup will win and it won't be close.

GCHS should be able to name the score and imo if the GC coach can that he will run it up. I hope that I'm wrong on that.

Not so fast my friend…..

 

3 out of the past 4 years….Boyd has gone into the Greenup game with 6 losses and either one or zero victories…and….each of those years, they jumped up and beat the Muskies.

 

Over the past few seasons, we have heard lots of hype about “this year’s team” from our Greenup Co friends only to see that team wilt as the season progresses…then maybe having a strong showing late in the year, which…in turn…spawns new hope for next year…and the cycle continues.

 

My point is this…GC should win this game, but history indicates they are ripe for an upset. I don’t know if Boyd can take advantage of this or not…and goodness knows I really don’t want to be in a position of promoting Lion football…but, bless their hearts…they need all the help they can get.

I normally agree with you Painter, but I have seen both in action and poor Boyd County is just too young and not deep enough. Greenup should really win this one easily.

Painter, I totally agree especially with the bolded.

Painter I love to read your post. Your always full of info. You even almost make me believe Boyd has a chance.. But in the past years Greenup just wasn't any good at all. I don't know what has happened to GC. But the talent is there on offense. They do have trouble on defense. But Boyd has even more problems on both sides of the ball. BC could only muster three points against East Carter. And have been shut out numerous times. Or at least could have been shut out. Greenup plays physical and IMO Boyd has only one chance to win this game. And that is if Greenp fails to show up for some reason..

Boyd Co has not scored more then 7 points in any game this year. Boyd averages about 5 points per game. While giving up abot 30 ppg.

I have a feeling Greenup Co will get a couple easy wins the next two weeks. Before having to face a tough Mason Co for the last regular season game.

I can see a winning season for Greenup Co this season! 5 - 5.
