MOUNTAINFOOTBALL
The Jumpers put a beating on the Panthers...congrats to Somerset, I will be pulling for you guys from here on out. Hopefully Pikeville will have a good year in the weightroom and be ready to make some noise next year.
AverageJoesGym
Somerset was impressive tonight on offense and defense. It seems like each week someone different steps up on offense and has a big night--the coaching staff has done an excellent job this year of finding and exploiting the holes in that week's opponents defense. I predicted 42-24 I'm a little bit suprised that Somerset shut down Pikeville's offense like they did. Like we tried to tell you Legaer28 this isn't the last 2 years. Congrats Jumpers take the region next week!

Congrats Jumpers take the region next week! :thumb: Right Joe, I predicted 42-12, which was very close. I was fairly beaten up over my assessment by the Panther crew, understandly for their homers, but after my Dragons were beaten soundly by both teams, it was clear that Somerset had the more total package. Having said that, both Schools had great years and great tradition. Pikeville came a long way with a new coach and some young players. No doubt they will continue to be a force to be reckoned with year after year. Congrats Jumpers. Keep District 7's hopes alive!
jumperfootball
Somerset's defense was soft all night. Get out the knives and forks, time to eat crow.

Nothingbutnet
Not really surprised at the result, but the margin wasn't expected by me! Congrats to Somerset, hope you have a let down next week though!

jumperfootball
Who was the QB for Pikeville tonight? Huffman or Mayo? Mayo started at QB. Had a nice 84 yd TD run up the gut. Pikeville's lone score. He was injured about 1/3 of the way through the game, and Huffman took the rest of the snaps. Pikeville had a great season this year, congrats to them, Weston Robinson, and all the Pikeville seniors on great careers. Good luck through your offseason.
