With Boyd County and East Carter out, and Greenup County and Rowan County appearing to be very close to each other, does Lawrence have what it takes to win the District Championship?

This looks to be one of the more entertaining districts. Much tougher competition overall than 3A 7.

Yes. Lawrence is the best team in that district. If Lawrence does not help Greenup Co. or Rowan Co. (turnovers & penalties) then they should get the win. Coach Salmons has the Bulldogs (or is it Bulldawgs) back where they belong.

Personally, I agree. It's Lawrence's to lose as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe the best race in any class. Three teams that are very even. Greenup Co is in the most trouble now. But if they beat Lawrence Co. (and they can) This coud be something else. Could we see a three way tie? If Lawrence loses to GC and beats Rowan Co. Don't you have a three way tie? Does it come down to point spread?

Okay, I think that Lawrence is better coached. I am not sold on the GC coach frankly, and I don't have much to base that on. Simply my opinion. I think that this year's GC team has basically been a long time coming in the athlete department. And with what they have, I'll go as far as underachieved. I think that they are better than LC. But that doesn't always correlate to a victory. This Friday will go a long way in proving me right or wrong. Those are my 2 cents with regards to GC and Lawrence. I suppose Rowan may be the best in that district but I haven't seen them this season. With Wing and Cross, they are surely as talented or more talented than the rest. With a Mason loss as the only blemish, hard to say they aren't at the top of that district.

I contend that it is Lawrence's to lose. I think they beat Rowan. I also think Lawrence beats Greenup, but I agree it is very close and could go either way.

My answer is Yes.

imo LCHS is better defensively, both can be explosive on offense and LC is far better coached.
