Lexington Christian Academy 43 Lynn Camp 20

Final.

Did Lynn Camp have 20 or 22?

I listened to the game. It was 43-20.

2nd email from our stat guy:

"Please find revised stats for the LCA-LynnCamp game attached – The final score was 43-20."

I didn't think that Lynn Camp would have scored that many.

It was 43-7 with 5 minutes to go. LCA had put in all jv and freshman. Lynn Camp kept varsity O in and drove it down and scored. Which in my mind is ok for kids confidence. However, LCA jv couldn't move the ball so Lynn Camp took over with 1:30 to play. Coach Mitchell put his jv in for the last drive. LCA jv stopped them. I can't remember if it was 3rd or 4th down but Lynn Camp put back in several starters and threw a half back pass to the 1 yd line and then a starter ran it in for their third td. After Lynn Camp's first td LCA made

an adjustment and Lynn Camp could no longer move the ball.

Good win. Great attitude about the game. You dont have to beat another team by 50. This state doesn't go by how bad you beat at team! Just win. Helps your kids for the future!

What papa pigskin said, Lynn Camp played dirty the whole second half.

With no disrespect to PP, many of LC's starters are freshmen and sophmores. Not much bench to clear. I guess what I am saying is that when a lot of teams put in their JV squads, most of our JV squad has been out all night. Not making an excuse for the last score, just saying that our JV and Varsity is so intermingled that it is hard to peel some of it away.

As far as "playing dirty", there were some frustrations being shown by some of the Cats in the form of not-so-good-sportsmanship, but to classify the whole team as playing dirty seems unfair to me. Just my opinion. There were flags thrown on both teams for USLC during the second half, but I think that LCA played a clean game. Youth and emotion led to some late but not vicious incidents. I'm sorry that you feel the way you do, eagle5, but I do know the LC folks have respect for the LCA program. Heck, our coach went to college with your coach and came down and spoke to him and us for awhile after the game. I know I saw some of the players from both teams eating together. I have seen a lot of dirty play over the years and did not think that friday would even come close to being categorized as such.

Good luck to the Eagles the rest of the way. Could be a rematch down the road. Were you here, Bluto? I had to spot for the PA and did not get to mingle much. Busy night.

I know exactly what you mean. Those looking in from the outside come to superficial conclusions. No need for LC to apologize to anyone; you play the players that you have.

We salute you, and know that we will hear from you again (either this year or in the future).

^^^^Your right on the money Bluto!^^^^ Both of these teams fans and players have lots of class. Things happen! We love playing LCA because of the way we get treated. And the teams plays hard. Last year we got to play LC in a playoff game. Nothing but class from players and fans.

I have nothing but good things to say about the fans that I have met from both of these schools.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I just wanted to try to explain the situation here this year. I'll be the first to apologize if anyone on or off the field felt we were acting punkish friday. Everyone has a few overzealous fans and/or players. All part of HS Football, I guess.
