September 4, 201016 yr Author You're right. In my post I stated the Colts weren't even close. Putting words in my mouth. Besides Colston, there are no more talented receivers on the Saints team. Who can you make an argument for? Robert Meacham? Jeremy Shockey? No way. If Brees had the Bengals core he'd be even more successful, IMO. The Colts I can see an argument for and the Patriots lack depth. You didn't even mention Houston who I'd take over Green Bay's receivers any day.
September 4, 201016 yr They're off. Donald Driver, Jennings, and Finley is not even close to Housh, Chad, TO, and Gresham. Get real. Moss and Welker are good, but thats not an entire core. Saints core isn't even close. The Colts I could see an argument because of depth. How about you stop ridiculing legitimate rational opinions before pulling the "bias" card. Driver, Jennings, and Finley aren't close to Housh, Chad, TO, and Gresham? Driver > Housh Jennings >Chad or TO Finley > Gresham Not to mention they got Jordy Nelson and James Jones. I'd take Green Bay's receiving squad any day over Cincy's, even with Housh.
September 4, 201016 yr Houshmanzadeh might want to come back to Cincinnati. There's an article on PFT's website about it. Can't get the direct link to work though. link
September 4, 201016 yr Author Give me Housh over Driver. Other than that it's not fair to compare someone's top receiver to other teams receiverS when comparing a depth chart. In that case: Andre Johnson > Jennings or Driver.... Comparing top to bottom: Jennings > Ocho Driver Finley > Gresham (he has a chance to prove he can be better, though) Jackson Nelson = Shipley

In that case: Andre Johnson > Jennings or Driver.... Comparing top to bottom: Jennings > Ocho Driver Finley > Gresham (he has a chance to prove he can be neuter, though) Jackson Nelson = Shipley Driver has had over 1000 yards receiving the last 6 years. 3 of those years he had over 1200 yards receiving. Housh has had over 1000 yards only 2 years in the past 6 years. I'll take Driver over Housh. And we're not comparing Andre Johnson vs. Greg Jennings. We're comparing the Bengals/Packers. In that case, it's Jennings > Ocho, and it's an easy choice. Jennings > Ocho Driver > Housh Finley > Gresham Jones Nelson > Shipley I'll have to see a little of Shipley before I consider him equal with Nelson. Rookie receivers don't always start off great in their rookie year.
September 4, 201016 yr Author Forget the stats. Driver has one of the top 2 or 3 QBs in the league. Housh has had Hasselbeck and Seneca Wallace from time to time for the past couple years. Think if Housh was on the Packers. He'd be having 1200 yards and 100 catches, IMO. And my point with the Andre Johnson thing was that you said Jennings > Chad and TO. I could do that for every team in the league with someone else's top receiver. That just didn't make any sense to compare someone's top receiver to 2 of a team's receivers.

Meachem is better than the Bengals #2 IMO. Atleast we've seen what Shockey can do, unlike Gresham. Palmer would do better with the Saints? Based on what? And I missed the Texans, but I did say off the top of my head when I listed teams.

When did I say that?
September 4, 201016 yr Author I believe he said or as in Jennings is better than Chad or TO, whoever you think is Cincy's #1. Well if you do that you can't eliminate one or the other from comparison to another player. Which is exactly what was done.
September 4, 201016 yr Well if you do that you can't eliminate one or the other from comparison to another player. Which is exactly what was done. It doesn't matter, because the Packers WR's are still better. With or without the other one. Same with Housh.

I could do that for every team in the league with someone else's top receiver. That just didn't make any sense to compare someone's top receiver to 2 of a team's receivers. Housh was only with Seattle for 1 year. Which means 5/6 years that I mentioned he was with the Bengals, and only one year he had Hasselbeck/Wallace. With Carson Palmer and Ocho on his team he still only had 2 years with over 1000 yards receiving. Driver is better, no question. And I was saying Jennings was better than Chad or TO. Whichever one you wanted to consider the #1 guy in Cincy. He's better than both, easily.
September 4, 201016 yr How is that core better than the Patriots? Moss, Welker, young buck Edelman and whoever their TE ends up being would be a better core than that IMO. Saints core is better as is the Colts IMO. Packers core is better too off the top of my head. Take the black and orange sunglasses off people. So I am glad we are in a agreement finally on this. The top QB's in the NFL all have great receiving cores and even better ones than the Bengals. Man we could have saved a lot of arguing, since this is what you think. I am glad you have finally come around and seen the light. How even top QB's need top receiving cores to be how they are. Something that Palmer had not had the last two years. I am sure glad I seen this post.
