No. It is a great job, but you have to be the guy to handle it. It could overwhelm alot of coaches, even good ones. Dale is a great coach and deserves every bit of credit, etc. he gets. On the flip side of that, there are great coaches out in the state, doing a phenomenal job to win 2, 3, 4 games a season. No one realizes that, but that is happening as well.

I paid $20.00 to respond to this. DALE MUELLER does not deserve this question. I am a high school football coach. I have been a coach for 24 seasons. COACH Mueller has more fun coaching than any other coach I've ever seen in my life. His enthusiasm is so infectious that his kids outwork the rest of ours. There is no one in football that I admire more than him. He allowed me to spend two days with him and his team this Spring. I stopped coaching (and OMG I'm hoping just for) this year because I wasn't able to coach with the enthusiasm that this man has for the game and, more importantly, for his kids. Tradition; yep. Talent; we've ALL got talent. Dale Mueller; one of a kind. Be thankful.

Do I think any other coach could win at Highlands, yes, but only because of the tradition that Coach Mueller has brought to the Highlands system. As stated previously, coaches before were not able to win state with just as much talent, Coach M is doing it and playing up in divisions. Will be interesting to see what would happen to Highlands if/when coach decides to move on to bigger things.
