Congratulations to Coach Heasley on his first win as a head coach! West may be picking up where they left off last season.

I hope the Madison Southern boys realize this is just one game. They held thier own for a quarter and a half. West Jessamine started blitzing and stunting someone on about every play and adjustments were not made. If your linemen cannot pick up the blitz, then some help needs to be established in the backfield with an extra blocker. The Roberts boy was running for his life the most of the game because of the blitz. A score in the final minute before halftime took the wind out of the boys sails making it 21-0 at half and MS never seemed to recover at all. I hope MS keeps thier heads up and don't start all the pessimistic stuff and implode. Hang in boys...it's just one game.

West Jessamine rolls past Madison Southern

BEREA — Anyone looking for a rerun of last year’s one-point final between Madison Southern and West Jessamine was sorely disappointed.

 

The Colts picked up steam throughout the second half and cruised to a 56-0 win at Southern Friday.

 

While the game didn’t get out of hand until the second half, the Eagles didn’t do themselves any favors. Every positive play on offense seemed to be pulled back for infractions.

Madison Southern plays a schedule that is way to tough for a team that has struggled since 2006, TRENCHMASTER, it does look like another tough year.

Also aren't most of the players at Madison Southern freshman and sophomores?

Yeah I think so, thats a hard working bunch of kids, I was at the game the other night. They ran the I-formation which is not good for a small kids IMO, and they don't do a good job tackling even though they are at or near the ball. I wish the Eagles luck though!
