Braves close to trade for Derrek Lee.

Phew, thank God they got Lee and his 0/4 w/ 2 Ks performance today. THAT would've been a shame to miss out on.

No GIDP? He is good at that.

Well, there's at least that. I suppose it IS preferable to strike out rather than hit into the DP.... :D

Wasn't aware that Lee was the first player ever to go 0-4? Man I'm glad Rangers fans aren't as hard on players as you are or they would have shipped Cliff Lee off after his first start, and the Phillies the same with Oswalt.

It was his first game calm down.

Neither of the players you just named, well, more Lee than Oswalt, are in decline the way Lee is already. I already disagreed with the trade, so it's not going to take much to get me fired up about it. I'm glad they won, but 0/4 from your cleanup hitter is a very bad thing IMO. Hopefully that is the exception rather than the rule, but I do not agree at all with moving McCann to 5th.

BTW, is that the rule about coming down on a player's performance? I mean, if someone has done it before, it must not be that bad.
