I think there's a difference. You might not agree with me, and that's fine, but I think the difference is there. People with "Kill Bush" signs are ignorant and disgusting, let me just say that first. There's no excuse for that. And I am not defending them in the least iota. But those beliefs, however misguided, were rooted in facts about what happened in Iraq and Afghanistan. They saw Bush as a war criminal because of the Iraqi invasion that killed tens of thousands of civilians and American troops. Does that make him a war criminal? Of course not. Those signs were lunacy and those people should have been prosecuted.

 

Now the difference is this- in that video I posted, people are holding up signs that condemn Obama's race, religion and, of all things, where he was born. Do you see the difference? It's one thing to believe that Bush should die because of the number of people he "killed" in the wars he lied to the American public about. It's a completely other thing to protest Obama because you think he's a secret Muslim on a mission to destroy the USA.

Yes. T-shirts/signs that attack her for her sex or race would also be disgusting in my book, and I would have no time or respect for those that would use such.

Would it be better to just have the KILL OBAMA signs and leave out his muslim background?? Or the OBAMA=HITLER signs that compare to the Bush signs?

The first is a matter of opinion. You could make the case that Bush is a war criminal based on the torture that happened in places like Abu Ghraib. I think it's a silly stretch to even make a case for it though, but there are some that are of the opinion he is. Obama isn't a muslim, never has been, so that's a blatant lie.

 

There's a vast difference between opinion and out and out lies.

How do you know for sure he never was a muslim.... He has a muslim name... He was educated for a time in muslim schools... A lot of his family are muslims... He has shown he is not afraid to lie.... Personally, I don't give a crap about his 'religion".. It's his policies I hate.... But it would be easy to form the opinion.. Bush as a criminal, lie or opinion?? Hello? Are you listening? Obama wrote in Dreams from My Father that he's a Christian and believes in Jesus Christ as his savior. I choose to believe what he says rather than people who don't know him that over-generalize and speculate on his past.

 

The photos from Abu Ghraib of a guy with electrical wires dangling from him could technically constitute a war crime. As does the admitting water boarding of POWs.
