May 12, 201016 yr Some people just can't look at things objectively. Some have a liberal point of view and will look to criticize Reagan and other republican presidents as much as possible. Some people are very conservative and won't give democratic presidents any credit either. It is sad. I, on the other hand, have developed venom for both sides of the aisle. I will grant my venom for the Dems took longer to come around to.

Communicators to me are people who articulate a message and lead others to get on board with the vision. For me, the list is exactly that. FDR was great at the "Fireside Chats" and his communication skills went a LONG way in keeping the country from falling into anarchy or revolution throughout the 30's. :thumb:
May 12, 201016 yr I realize that. I've always questioned why "great" should be attached to Reagan. You shouldn't but I know you're too young to remember what it was like leading into his administration after the social upheaval of the 60's, Vietnam, Watergate, then the total malaise associated with the Carter years and the economic problems. But my point was that the people trying to get the facilities named after him thought he was great. There are very, very many people who would argue against JFK and even FDR as great presidents.
