Tips/suggestions about buying a motorcycle

Featured Replies

One of the happiest days in my life was the day I sold my motorcycle. Way too many close calls.

I loved my bike but I would be lying if I said it wasn't a huge relief when I sold it.

Man don't get me wrong, I love riding and enjoy my bike. I just don't do trips or the highway much anymore. I try to enjoy slow rides in the country. So many distractions to drivers and traffic make me a little nervous. Even more so if the Wife is riding too. Be careful and enjoy. Good luck in your search. :thumb:

I'm the same way in that I don't care for the expressway, and definitely drive in a way that I know others near and around me can see me, like you said too many distracted drivers out there.

How about being caught in a thunderstorm or all the loose gravel you can't see when making a turn I could go on and on.

Don't do it, there are two types of motorcycle riders, one's that have laid their bike down, and one's that will.

So very true RP.

I don't ride if there's a chance of rain, atleast not any where that I may get stuck.

As for laying it down, I guess if it's meant to be then it's meant to be. I don't take too many risks so I guess this is me living life on the edge.

Buy the Best Helmet money can buy.

The most fun I ever had was riding to the coast and back (Pacific). 6300 miles in a month with no destination other than west on the way out and east on the way back. But I stand by my suggestion of a top caliber helmet, full face preferred. Without one, I would not be typing.......
