April 23, 201016 yr I have been to some of the biggest in the nation, Neyland, The Big House, The Shoe, and Notre Dame Stadium...they are unreal in stature, but they do lack in amenities, Louisville is hamstrung, both by, fan interest locally, and design. They do the most with what their limitations dictate. Akron just built a new stadium that looks great, should they be in too? I love Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. I would much rather watch a game there than at Commonwealth for many reasons. But I just don't see U of L as a huge draw for the Big 10 or SEC as I've seen some rumor. The Big 10 is a football and academic conference. For one U of L would have the smallest endowment in the Big 10 by about 400 Million, as every school in the Big 10's is over 1 billion. Outside of Northwestern every school in the Big 10 has an undergraduate enrollment of over 20,000. And I just can't see their football program being a big enough draw. If the Conference expands to 16 I guess I could see it, but I don't think they'd be in the first 5 schools offered. JMO.
