Top hitters in the 9th region?

Kids that just knock the cover off the ball!!

James Hoskins - Ryle.

Travis Miller St.Henry

What schools do you two support again? ;)

Just giving you guys a hard time. Both are good ball players.

I am slightly partial to Ryle. Slightly. :D

But biased or not, Hoskins has had a tremendous start to the season and has hit the snot out of the ball. Overall as a team Ryle has hit the ball well and at various times other kids have hit a nice gap ball or two, but Hoskins is the only player that has hit consistently with power.

Travis Norton from Bishop Brossart has been in the box score almost every game with multiple hits and normally multiple doubles. And no, I'm not a Brossart guy, just going by what I read and have seen. :D

Travis Norton is only a junior right?

In their game against Ryle, he hit one frozen rope after another. Pretty impressive hitting display that day, without question.

Correct, and his younger brother, Tanner is a freshman and already bigger I believe and will be very good.

Travis has always been a really good basbeall player. His younger brother i have not seen play but he definantly does have the size to become a really good player.

Travis Norton's batting avg is somewhere around .700 this year with 13 doubles and 1 home run. Right now he is three shy of Brossart's single season record for doubles (currently held by NKU player Evan McDole). Travis is a Junior. His younger brother Tanner (a Freshman) is also hitting very well, although I don't have his stats handy. Tanner is bigger \ bulkier than his older brother Travis. Tanner catches and from what I've seen this year, is one of the better catchers in the area. Brossart also has others hitting the ball well (Anthony Steffen and David Greis - both senors and Trevor Bezold a Soph). Overall, Brossart's team is hitting extremely well. Just so you know, I am biased, as you can tell from the name. Also, Brossart is in the 10th region not the 9th - this thread was started as the top hitters in the 9th, so no Brossart players qualify for that.

I have seen Brossart only once but 10th Region or not, they are an outstanding hitting team ! Individually, Brady Gray has impressed me and Shaun Meyer continues to be stellar for NCC. I'll second Hoskins from Ryle as well.

My sleeper....Travis "Choppie" Jones from Newport who is hitting well including 3 dingers to date.

Boone has 4 very good hitters all hitting over .400
