If Scott County play's like they did yesterday they will get beat.

CC has way to much speed. Hickey is a beast.

Christian County is a fabulously talented team. There’s no doubt they are quick… blazingly quick with athletes and hops at every position. They are a legit contender for this year’s state title. BUT, it’s not like Scott County’s guards are going to be standing around in concrete shoes while CC blows around them. SC’s guards are also quick and athletic with crazy hops.

 

Looking at probable starting lineups, CC gives up 10 inches and 65 pounds to SC’s larger starting five. Looking at the most likely first three off the bench for both teams, CC gives up another 8 inches and 15 pounds.

 

That’s a total 18 inch and 80 pound advantage to SC. Every player on the floor for both teams has the hops to dunk and rebound.

 

So, while CC may have a slight edge top to bottom in overall quickness, SC has a significant edge in overall size.

 

In terms of experience, SC may have a slight edge there as well… but not enough to tip the scales strongly in their favor.

 

Bottom line, this game will come down to the team with the best game plan, coaching, and desire to win. If SC comes out and plays with the intensity they showed against Lafayette in the Region 11 Final, and uses their size and strength to their advantage, this could be a double digit win for them. If they come out and take even one quarter to get in the flow… CC will be playing Saturday.

 

This will be a great high school basketball game, very likely coming down to a single digit margin for the winning team. Either team could be playing Saturday night.

 

In fact, if these two teams had been seeded in different brackets, this could easily have been the Saturday evening championship match up. :thumb:

The better basketball team wins this one in the second half. Scott pulls away and wins by 8 or 10pts in the second half. Christian has the superior athletes, but their poor shooting will be their demise. You can never underestimate the value of good defense, but I still think Scott has to many guys that can handle the ball and score. It should a be fun game for everyone watching to enjoy!

Christian Co. keeps this game close but Scott Co. wins the 4th quarter.
