Believe it or not, O'Hearns first comments on the radio was Rhueben Blueford was big for us tonight! See what happens when you give him minutes! But Mason Co. got off to a great start and that was pretty much the game. Pendleton played them even after that as they are a very scrappy team. Impressed with the fight of Pendleton, but boy there is a huge game Monday.

Bradley Lang with a career high 16 points tonight!

Pendleton has nothing to be ashamed of, they brought the fight to Mason and had a nice season. Mason seems to have peeked at just the right time. Fun game to watch.

And that is my point, he knew he messed up and that is why he talked about him first thing. Brad Lang had a really good game tonight, in fact a career game, but he wanted to get that compliment in there about Rhueben. Rhueben did have productive minutes tonight though.

PC just too small. Wonder what the rebound margin was? Hopefully Monroe can grow to 5"10 because now just too hard for him to get a shot off inside or out, he has the basketball IQ.

I listened to the stats on the radio and the rebounding I am thinking was 40 something to 20 something and second chance points was 15 to 0 Mason. That right there is the difference in the game.

This was fun game to watch. Not too many teams have what you would call a TRUE point guard. Tonight both teams had true point guards that do the little things that dont show up on the stat sheet. Gilbert for Mason Co in IMO is the best player on Mason team. Mason Monroe as a freshman for PC is going to have a nice career. Seems the game has changed over the years and people only notice the high leapers who can dunk, but I like the old school basketball where heart and IQ help their team win. Good luck to the Royals in the finals.

For someone that did not have a dog in the fight, I thought it was a great game. PC had trouble getting into the flow of the game. They got down so fast early in the 1st quarter. We started our season with them in December, and they beat us at home. I knew at that point that people were going to look over this team, and i think most did.

 

Congrats to the entire team, and as I stated last night it is hard to see it end for seniors, but this is one team that left everything they had on the floor. Great job to both teams.

 

Unfortunately for the winner of this game you have to play Clark. I think Clark is the best team I have seen this year, and feel comfortable they will win Monday.

This statement is ridiculous :lol: This kid just ended his freshman year and is close to scoring 500 varsity points to date. He took a couple bad shots last night and had one driving lay up blocked. You have never played basketball if you have never had your shot blocked. No matter what your size. Monroe has put up 17 on Clark Co Jaylen Daniel and 16 on Phil Barner from Bryan Station to just name a few. Monroe has played against bigger guards than he sees in HS during his AAU games. He only shot about 6-8 attempts per game on this years team. To say he can't get a shot off inside or out is just plain and simple wrong. Mason County put their best defender on him last night in Lang and after the game he had nothing but good things to say about the freshman. Monroe will most likely have more opportunities to score in games for the next three years!
