Monday is the South - Gallatin game... if you're making a prediction that South will win on Monday, then yes, I would certainly be looking forward to a possible South - Shelby game...but, while I think South will defeat Gallatin, they better not be looking forward to a possible final game. South hasn't been to a regional final since their first year as a school. Best to take them one game at a time!

 

I truly hope South makes it to the final; Steve Simpson has done a great job at the school and his efforts have gone largely unnoticed by many in the region, IMO. He earned the 8th Region Coach of the Year award this year, and deserves a shot at the title...

It should be a great game a real "David vs. Goliath"

Gallatin: 362

South Oldham: 1409

Yeah I'd say "David Vs Goliath" is pretty accurate. Almost 4 times the size.

Just going by size alone SO towers over the smallish GC team. I understand where your coming from WalterSOchak with Gallatins recent run of success but that doesn't diminish the fact that it is small school vs big school.

Jon Jones and Gallatin County have proven time and again that good coaching, good effort, good organization can keep a small school competitive with the bigs.

 

Truth is, there's also an awful lot of big schools with very mediocre basketball teams.
