February 27, 201016 yr try and get Sproles? He would be a great compliment to Benson and give the Bengals a dynamic player that I think the offense and special teams is missing. I realize we just drafted Scott, but I think Sproles would really improve this team.
February 27, 201016 yr No, they shouldn't. They'd be better off getting Westbrook or Tomlinson. The only negative about Benson is that he's not a huge threat in the passing game. Westbrook is probably done (due to concussions). RB is not a position where the Bengals need much help.

Matt Jones, Larry Johnson, Cedric Benson, Tank Johnson, Roy Williams, Antwan Odom, Laverneus Coles. Those are the most recent ones off the top of my head. Of those 7 players, I'd say that Benson & Odom are the biggest.

The last big time FA that the Bengals even pursued (in the offseason) is probably Warren Sapp. Sam Adams could be added to my list of recent FA signings.

I really can't remember one, who you can say as a big time free agent. I think Odom was just a part time starter before he came to cincy, but he did look good last year before the injury.
