How many did Corbin shoot in the last 2-3 minutes when South started

fouling?

Corbin was 4-6 in the last 2:30 of the game.

Coach Wright and team is a class act. Good Luck in the region....wishing you the best and good luck with those officials!!

26 free throws for Corbin, 15 made.......3 for South, 3 made.......margin of victory for Corbin 1 point.

I am no mathemagician, but Corbin got a gift.

Even though South was shooting alot of their shots from the outside they do have a huge man inside so 26 ft attempts to 3 is a bit odd. St. John should get at least 7 or 8 ft himself because of size along. I belive the Regional final will be on Monday not Sat.. Semi-finals on Sat. Look for these two to meet again.
South shot mainly jumpers all night, but I'm not sure if Watkins and Gilbert missed many at all, was told they were a combined 9-11 from behind

the 3 point line.

And that could very well be true. I was at the McCreary game so I didnt go to this one. I just tuned in on the radio broadcast and heard them say that. Congrats to both teams and best of luck in the regional tournament.

The game was a great one to watch. Gilbert and Watkins really took over the first quarter, only to see Corbin make a great come back before the half. The third quarter was action packed, but nothing like the fourth quarter. Wilson and Johnson took over and it looked like Corbin had put the game away until South Laurel made some big shots to cut the lead back to one as time ran off the clock. Officiating had nothing to do with the outcome of this game. The argument that fouls should somehow be equal between two teams every game carries no merit. Great job from both teams and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them meet again.

I don't mean to be rude, but South always catches a break every game they play.

I'm pretty sure every game Wright could be tossed but for some reason he catches a break from the refs...St.John could get a fouled called on him every trip he makes it down the floor, catches a break there!:irked:

Does the numbers 26 to 3 ring a bell???? I guess maybe that was 3 breaks huh......

Corbin should be a heavy favorite to go back to Rupp this year and if I were a Corbin fan I really would just enjoy this season more than worrying about Wright needing to be tossed and St. Johns fouls because I have seen the future of 13th region basketball and well...........................As I said if I were a Corbin fan , I would really enjoy this season:D

Corbin enjoys every season...........and will continue to do so. A small school like Corbin is like family and you should always enjoy your family.

I sure wish I could see the future as well as you, then I wouldn't have to get up and go to work in the morning.

The only reason St John did not make to the FT line was his teammates, they seem to forget he was on the floor way too often and did not work their offense through him after the first quarter.:idunno:

From what I've been told, you've hit the nail on the head.

I was at the game and not for either team. Corbin playing this game at home was a big advantage. Any time you play at home it would be. Nothing new about that. Whatever the reason shooting that many more free throws than your opponent is strange. Especially considering the type of basketball corbin plays. I wouldn't exactly call Corbin a small school either. Definelty smaller than South but prob upper middle of the pack in the region as far as size. These two teams may get a chance to square off again. Boths teams played hard and showed lots of toughness and courage.
