Lady Cards defeat the Lady Indians to win the 40th district. HUGE win for the Cards. Way to go girls and coaching staff.:dancingpa

Congrats Lady Cards. :thumb:

Sounds like they are finally playing to their potential.

Total domination by the Cards after the first 4-5 minutes of the game. They got every loose ball and simply out-hustled Montgomery Co. They deserved the win.

Good luck to both teams in the regional tournament next week.

I attended the game and was impressed with GRC's defense. They stayed right in their face the whole game. I think this will :banana:get GRC rolling.....

Does anyone have the schedule of the 10th Region tournament? Also where it is at?

Congrats to the team and Scott True!

Physical game, advantage Clark Co., would be be interested to see this match up again with a crew that would call a consistent game. Granted Clark Co., took advantage of what the officials wouldn't call.

Welcome to the BGP family VIP. If you need anything just ask me or any Mod.:thumb:

Because of being from the same district, GRC and Montgomery will be in opposite brackets. Would love to see another show down between these two favorite teams in the finals.

The Montgomery County girls' reign at the top of the 40th District is over.

Clark County steadily built a lead and ran away in the fourth quarter for a 46-32 victory over host Montgomery County in the district championship game Wednesday night.

The Lady Indians had won the past five district title games beating Clark County for the trophy in each of the last three seasons.

Sophomore forward Brittani Gay had 12 points and 15 rebounds for the Lady Cards, who led by six points before outscoring Montgomery County 14-6 in the fourth quarter.

Both teams will advance to the 10th Region Tournament.

MOUNT STERLING — One net wasn’t enough. George Rogers Clark cut down two nets and coach Scott True left town with one of them wrapped around his neck. It was a long time coming for the Lady Cardinals. Clark captured the 40th District championship with a 46-32 triumph over host Montgomery County Wednesday night at the MCHS Arena. The win ended the Lady Indians’ six-year reign as district champions and gave Clark its first district title in eight years.
