Lance Staying Another Year?

The key play that really disturbed me from a coaching standpoint was the out of bounds play that Marquette got a run out on. IMO, that should not of happened in that situation. What are your thoughts on that play and the way UC defended it?

Dixon and Vaughn got their assignments crossed and totally blew that one. I'd put that one on Mick and both players for letting it happen...

If that was the case he'd be in Europe right now...

Gates and Born Ready would be a great core next season, what does their recruiting class look like?

At this point the only two spots available have been filled by 6'8" PF Justin Jackson and 6'10" C Kelvin Gaines. Both play at Florida power Arlington Country Day this year. Jackson is an instant impact face up 4 that has had a very solid season playing against some of the best big men in the country. Dan Hurley at St Anthony's called him a "high school version" of Kevin Garnet after ACD beat them at a tournament earlier in the year and has also shown very well against Josh Hairston (Duke), Tristan Thompson (Texas) and Patrick Young (Florida) putting up at worst equal numbers. He slipped a bit in the rankings after last AAU season when he played on the same team as Brandon Knight and Austin Rivers. Simply not enough shots to go around, and those two hardly ever miss so doing work on the glass is hard to display as well. He should be back to solid 4 star status after what he has done at ACD. Gaines is your typical big man project. Very athletic shot blocker and defender but his offensive game is extremely raw and he is a likely red shirt next year IMO...

Gates has pretty much the same exact production this year as he did last.

This may just be who is he.

Does this change Lance's nickname to "Not Quite Ready"?

I still think anyone on the fence is going to declare after this year due to the potential lockout two seasons from now. I guarantee you someone is in Lance's ear reminding him of this.

If you don't get drafted does it really matter? Talked to 2 more NBA scouts at the game last night and his stock continues to drop like a rock because he can't hit a wide open jumper to save his life...

I know his dad wants him to stay another year, and his pops pretty much runs that show. I won't be shocked if he goes, but it seems the people around him realize it's a bad decision right now...
