Scott really looked good tonight and scored a lot of points for a 24 minute game. They are very deep and have the advantage of having most of their kids basketball players and not a mix of football/basketball. They go 8-10 deep and never miss a beat and Fromeyer is a good coach.

 

Conner made an nice run to cut the Scott lead to 5 I believe late in the game but they really lack a good 3 point shooter and missed a few wide open looks.

 

Austin Price is a gamer for Conner, he plays very hard and has very nice moxy.

 

Pouncy gave the Eagles the burst they needed to start the 3rd qtr. He nailed a big 3 ball, got a steal and layup and I think hit another shot. The Eagles got up by as much as 13 late in the 3rd qtr.

Congrats to a very good Scott team! If Eric continues to knock down open shots, Nick Jackson will be unstoppable in the post at this level.

It was a great game for the young Eagles. They shot a collective 68% for the game vs. Conner's 36%. The 3rd quarter Scott probably shot high 80%, they all got hot at the right time and could not miss. The Conner kids could not put the ball in the hole in the 3rd quarter. Turnovers have killed them all year. Price does play hard, but your moxy boy has averaged more turnovers per game than points. Double digit average of turnovers per game from any point guard, kills any momentum that the team may generate. This was the biggest problem all year for Conner's freshman.

 

Maybe the coaches will fix this issue next year. Should be interesting in the future.

I'm not a big fan of posters putting a loss one one player.

wow, if he was averaging double digit turnovers I think it might be time to try out another Point guard.

 

I have watched him play the last 2 years and Price is by far their best player.

Did the Kunkel boy play for Conner? Isn't Price supposed to be a sophomore?

Wow! Now, I've only seen him play a few times, but he never appeared to be the problem on this Conner team. I thought he played VERY well Saturday, and in fact, was the reason Conner was in the game at all.

 

Kunkel did play.

Kunkel played and could have been more effective if he wouldnt have put the ball on the floor each time he got a good feed. He is a wide body with nice moves around the rim but each time he put it on the floor it was stolen or lost.

Congrats to the Eagles, they were the best Frosh team I saw play all year!

QOP - wow pretty harsh on the young man - you sound almost like the mom of the back-up PG who is not seeing the floor behind this young man! I would have to think that it is not the players for Conner who lost the game, rather the coach. What coach in the world would keep playing a PG who averages over 10 turnovers a game????

What do you expect when you make comments that contradict each other like you do above? The problem is more often than not that people on here stir it up for no reason, rather people contradict themselves as you did, and do not like to be called out on it!
