What is your point. There are alot of rules but if the referee does not call it it really does not matter. CobraPlayer made it sound like only Mason was doing it but trust me, Fleming was doing it to. If you watched the game, how many times did you see Gibbs play behind the Mason player and then knee in in the groin. It was never called but I am pretty sure there is a rule against that too.

The GRC coaching staff was in attendance, getting some scouting in before next weeks matchup at the Fieldhouse. It gets me hyped up just thinking about it. Should be an electric atmosphere at the Fieldhouse.

Fleming County gave as good as they got, especially when the game started slipping away from them. Knees to the groin and all, evidently. Not surprising at all in this traditional rivalry game, where "football mentality" sometimes creeps in.

 

Surprise to me is that the officials from the 16th - Kouns, Billman & Co. let so much go on for most of the contest. The reputation has always been that games called by officials from the 16th are generally called pretty close to the vest.

Weren't 2 Ts called on the Panthers and 1 on the Royals, or am I remembering wrong (a distinct possibility)? I thought one was called on FC (maybe Jolly) with Gilbert hitting one of two freebies; then no shots awarded on the Pawsat/Gibbs double technical.

That's correct, Jolly got a technicial after Fleming scored and threw an elbow while running down the floor. The other two were the scrum under the basket.

Never said that and don't know that. I know what was reported at the scores table. Throwing an elbow at someone's head for a hold or tuck on the jersey seems right to me. Remember, the foul was called on Fleming.
