Final in overtime. Travis Davis hits two big freethrows to send it to overtime.

So travis did come up clutch! Good Job GC!

Sounds like it was a great game, got stranded babysitting last second, I really wanted to see this one.

Gallatin advances to the 8th region All "A" semifinals and will face Trimble County on Thursday night at Walton-Verona.

Wow, really thought Owen would have won this game. I guess Gallatin played harder. Was it a close game all the way?

Wasn't able to attend this one. Did this game come down to Coaching? Or did Gallatin just want it more?

Congrats to the Wildcats.

Gritty game. Both teams played hard if not always smart. There were several big plays with none bigger than Travis Davis hitting 2 free throws with 2.8 seconds on the clock for the tie to send it in to overtime. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.

Great atmosphere for high school basketball tonight. Coach Duvall's Rebels fought back from a ten point halftime deficit to make the game very interesting. Congrats to Coach Jones's Wildcats for maintaining their composure to force OT. I believe Travis Davis was ten for ten from the charity stripe. For those of us that have been following this 31st District rivalry since 2006, we have been treated to some intense, entertaining, hard nosed games that for the most part have had some endings that range from entertaining to bizarre. I do not think that will change anytime soon. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.

You need a better excuse than that.

Congrats to Gallatin & an underrated Coach Jones!! Already messing with my All "A" brackets--

I dont think Jones is underrated. Didn't he win coach of the year in the 8th not to long ago? Over the past 6 or so years Gallatin has always been one of the favorites in the A.

And a contender in the region a couple of years. People may not like him or agree with him but I don't think he is underrated at all.

A BIG kudos to buttels and Coach Stamm for covering the girls and boys Class A tournament.
