Bluegrass Hoops Report
Male 73, Iroquois 71 - VERY closely contested game throughout. Male led by two after the first, four at half, and eight going into the fourth, but the Raiders, led by Sam Tolliver and Donovan Gibbs, made a strong comeback in the final period. The Bulldogs were able to hold them off to seal the victory however, thanks to some clutch free-throw shooting by Kevin Glenn and Solomon Logan in the final minute. Tony Horne led Male with 15 points. Tolliver finished with a game-high 27 points for Iroquois. Male advances to face the winner of tomorrow nights Seneca/Butler game in Friday's 8:15 quarterfinal match. Moore 69, Fairdale 55 - Game was close for the first three periods until the Mustangs started the fourth quarter with a 12-0 run and never looked back. Tim Harrison and Reginald Breeden led Moore with 27 and 20 points, respectively. Quintrel Morris was one bright spot for Fairdale, scoring a game-high 34 points. Moore advances to Friday's 6:15 quarterfinal to face the winner of tomorrow night's Eastern/Christian Academy game.
