Wow - big win for the Colonels. Way to go guys!!!

First off congrats to the young Colonels. The Birds jumped out on top like usual 13 to 7 after one. Despite numerous turnoves they werr making shots. Then it happened, Colonels outscored the Birds 11 to 4 in the 2nd. Halftime score was 18 to 17 Colonels. The 3rd was the decisive qtr with the Colonels going on a huge run and jumping out to a 34 to 21 lead. The Birds were ice cold and lacked the intensity they had in the 1st qtr. Its obvious the depth is not their for the Birds like Cov Cath has. Too many unforced turnovers from players who have played enough ball.

 

Nice to meet Oldguy and Panda. Good luck rest of the season.

Limited talent on the HHS frosh. Good athletes. Not many basketball players. I did like the shooting form of #22 and the big kid True has some potential . Other than that it looked like football players/athletes playing basketball. They will win with defense and scoring inside. Good size kids. Good physical strength. Need to spend more time on their game.

:laugh::laugh: yes, used to love how he would blow the whistle....wait a couple seconds until everyone was watching him and then make the call. He did a nice job tonight, he is solid and has become a good referee.

I was just thinking how he has gained some weight (who hasn't?). Not that long ago he was a very good referee & I thought he'd be doing varsity games by now. He also umps baseball.

 

Always heard that he was a minor league ump with his eye on doing some major league games until he broke his leg. No idea if it's true or not, but that was the rumor floating around.

I dont want to hijack the thread making this the Iceman show but yes, he wears a band around his knee and had some sort of injury.
