Final. Seneca faces Trinity in the final of the King of the Bluegrass at 7:30.

Should be a great game as the district rivals square off.

 

Trinity will have to handle Seneca's pressure and Seneca will have to keep Trinity off the glass and stop Sewell and Epley

That loss to Seneca feels better each day.

Seneca is a very solid team and EXTREMELY underrated. I've been trying to tell people this in Louisville since last year.

 

Scary thing is, they may get Deonte Maddox back next semester which will make them even deeper and more talented. Maddox was the Redhawks best player last year.

 

Seneca is a legit top 10 team, IMO.

Lyonell Gaines led Eastern with a game-high 20 points and 11 rebounds. Remy Abell added 16 for the Eagles. Martez Harris scored 19 points to lead the Redhawks and Roy Stone added 12. Seneca's Martez Harris was named the Gatorade/Five-Star Basketball Star of the Game.

Seneca certainly deserved to win this game. Eastern had an opportunity to put them away in the first half(up 13)but missed a bunch of free throws. Seneca fought back to win. Redhawks are a GREAT shot blocking team. They had two to three guys contest most shots and were able to do so without fouling. Very rare at this level. Very Rare!

 

Eastern will have to rebound quickly, GRC today, then off to South Carolina. The return of Cam Woods will help. The 6'7'' starting center should be healthy enough to play extended minutes this weekend.

I saw Woods yesterday and he is HUGE. Very tall and lanky but man that kid is long.

 

When I saw him walk in the gym during the Ballard/Holmes game, I had no clue who it was until I took a second look at what the warm up suit said.
