I couldn't agree more. I understand playing for love of the game, and I understand wanting to go to school where your friends are...but man, I would have loved to see what this young man could have done in a more successful program. I would bet he'd be looking at scholarship offers right now.

I disagree with this. If you are talented enough to receive a scholarship to play at the next level, your high school program will not prevent it from happening. You may have to hit some camps and do some extra promotion but they will find you if you are worthy. I also don't believe where you attend high school gets you a scholarship. You have to be talented enough and big enough to fit the recruiters' model and if you aren't, playing for undefeated state champions will not get you a scholarship.
