Memphis Central defeated Ballard to advance to Play GRC who defeated Lee Al.at 4:30 tomorrow night.

 

Both teams had 3 players in double figures. For Memphis, Central Harmon 13. Stokes 11 and Peete 10. For GRC, Zollo 21 Stenzel 21 and Daniles 14. Both teams have several players that can put the ball in the basket. Your thoughts and predictions on this one.

I watched part of both games and I think Clark Co will win this game as they have the size to match up with Memphis but they play much better team ball and can shoot the ball much better.

Our kids really look for each other and play great team ball. Zollo, and Purvis can go inside or can shoot outside too. Stenzel is deadly outside and can really slash to the basket. Rogers is a beast down low. Sophomore Charlie Rogers is coming off the bench and doing a great job. Sophomore Fatkin was hurt tonight , but still played. Senior PG Kindred did not play, and is not expected to play tomorrow either.

Cards win by 8 69-61

This will be a tuff game for the Cards. Memphis is very athletic and quick. Zollo needs to again continue to own the glass. Stenzel to handle the ball and be the floor general he is. Last night he had 21 points and 5 assists. Need this from him tonight too. Have Cory active inside and Purvis and Daniels making big plays, we may pull this one out. To my knowledge starting PG Kindred will not play tonight. Also need some good strong minutes off the bench.

I see Clark Co having a tough time in this game. Unlike Lee, Central actually has the size to go with their athleticism and they are a much more disciplined team at both ends of the floor.

 

Lee's pressure got to Clark last night and I could Central doing the same thing.

 

I think Clark wins but it will be much closer then last night.

Yea... Harmon has started since his freshman year for M. Central so he's a pretty solid player. I think his quickness could give Jaylen some problems.

 

I was referring to Farmer not starting though. He is a senior but talent wise, Applewhite is a much better player. Applewhite finished with 8 points yesterday in the win over Ballard. He's another super soph on that Memphis Central team. He'll be top 150 for his class.

Yup.

 

From what I've seen though, Applewhite seems to be the better player between he and Farmer. Farmer just has the experience over Applewhite. I'm honestly not sure why he doesn't start.

 

He had a very impressive summer on the AAU circuit.
