Brossart wins in OT at Pendleton

First Pendleton wins over Campbell County and now takes Brossart to OT... Are they legit this year or is the 37th down this year? I ask this because I've only been able to see Scott so far this year and haven't been able to see any of their 37th district counterparts.

BB trailed 9-3 early, trail 13-9 after one. Pair of Morscher 3's keeps us in contention.

BB continues to trail 21-12 at 2:14 mark of 2Q, catch fire in final minute, close to within 3 at 23-20 at half.

PC maintains lead until 2:47 of 3Q tied at 30.

Mustangs poke a nose in front 35-34 after 3 periods.

Game tied 36-36, 41-41, and 45-45 to go OT. Zach Fardo had an open look to win it - rimmed out.

 

In OT Brossart played without Rieger who had fouled out at the 2:50 mark of 4Q. BB scores quick 5 points including Morscher's sixth 3-ball and then he fouls out. PCo forced to foul, BB did a great job keeping the ball in Jordan Armstrong's hand. Army hit 8 of 8 to ice the game.

 

BB got great minutes tonight from Allen Kramer, and Fardo played a bang-up defensive game.

Great summary Mustang as always. Army must have had ice trickling through his veins nailing those free throws in a hostile environment I'm sure. The Stangs still look like they are waiting for Rieger to come into his own. Could he be pressing or is he attracting double teams? What gives?

Friday night vs Campbell County would be great timing.

 

Was in foul trouble from the get-go vs PCo.

Anytime you come out of P-County with a win it is definately a good thing. It is such a tough place to play. Congrats to both teams on hard fought game.

Frosh: BB 38, PC 28

PC plays well, not tall but quick. they cut to the basket on BB a lot used spin moves. BB played outside shot a lot of three's. Good win for BB as for the question on PC I was impressed with them.

Tough night for Timmy Cooper. he battled a sprained ankle all game, and onyl finished with 5 points. Pendleton was up 7 several times with the ball and a chance to extend their lead, they just couldn't cash in their opportunities.
